Why We Like It: As fans of Gen Urobuchi’s light novel, it is obvious why we will be watching the U.S. premier of Fate/Zero. A successful prequel to a popular anime is hard to come by, so we wouldn’t miss this for the world.

He will be introducing footage from new and upcoming series and hold a Q&A to answer questions.
Why We Like It: Sunrise Inc. has delivered many of our favorite animes (Cowboy Bebop & Mobile Suit Gundam), so how can we miss this panel? Another reason to be at this panel is the presence of Masayuki Ozaki. Aside from being the Executive Producer of Tiger & Bunny, he is also in charge of Inuyasha: The Final Act and the Mobile Suit Z Gundam series. In other words, Mr. Ozaki is a man worth listening to.

CBLDF: Defending Manga (7:30 pm – 8:30 pm)
Official Description: Right now a manga fan is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of one year in prison and registering a sex offender because Canada Customs agent alleged that horror and fantasy manga on his laptop were child pornography. The threat to manga has been growing in recent years, as North American authorities misunderstanding of the material leaves innocent readers in the crossfire. Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is fighting these cases, with a need to raise $150,000 to defend the Canada Customs case. Come listen to a discussion on the issues facing manga and what you can do to help.
Why We Like It: Any panel that’s raising awareness is a good panel to attend. There is no reason why an innocent person should face prison time over a manga (or comic book in general). We would love to learn more about the case and help CBLDF fight this injustice.
