Teen Titans Join Cartoon Network’s DC Nation

The Teen Titans will return with full-length episodes ina  new show for Cartoon Network’s DC NAtion block called “Teen Titans Go!”

According to the press release, it will be a very comedy-heavy show that focuses on the “humorous side of being a teenage superhero” and it will focus the team present in the current DC Nation shorts: Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven.

This is great news for Teen Titans fans as most have been clamoring for more since the last show was cancelled. If successful, the comedy would bring a little diversity to DC Nation’s already action-packed, dramatic line-up.

According to IGN, The principal voice cast from the original series – Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Hynden Walch as Starfire – all return in the series, executive produced by Sam Register (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, The Looney Tunes Show, Teen Titans), with Michael Jelenic (ThunderCats, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Aaron Horvath (MAD, El Tigre) as producers.

Teen Titans Go! will premiere in 2013.
