Marvel Cancels ‘Thanos: Son of Titan’

Kabooooom has gotten word that Thanos: Son of Titan has been cancelled. Joe Keatinge (Glory, Hell Yeah) and Richard Elson (Thor, 2000AD) had been tapped as the creative team. The series was set to debut in September.

The cancellation comes as a surprise as Thanos is positioned to become a major player in the Marvel cinematic universe but hasn’t been seen much in the comics lately. We’ll update this story as more comes to light.

For those interested, plans have indeed changed on Thanos. Nothing too dramatic, we just jumped the gun a bit.(cont.)

@joekeatinge and Rich Elson both have projects coming up in the Spidey office that we’ll be announcing soon. They’re bloody great!

Sucks, Thanos is a truely a great character. It’s good to have an antagonist with a point of view that isn’t about conquest or greed. Love is an awesome motivator for anyone. Especially a violent criminal.

I wish Marvel would bring Ron Lim back to draw a Thanos series.
