This Week in Posters – 6/24/13

PRINT RELEASES

If you have particularly steep pockets (or just really love Shepard Fairey), the Diamond Dust edition of the Black and Gold Obey Lotus Diamond is available at Art Republic starting at £1140 (£1334 for within-UK framing options). The print is signed and has an edition of just 75.

Original art and prints from Gallery 1988’s SPACE! show are now up at their web store. Pieces available for purchase include a series of constellations and an ad for Mars modeled after vintage travel postcards.

Oh, and there’s a crocheted toy Carl Sagan, too. It doesn’t get much better than that, people.

For you film buffs out there, don’t forget about Criterion’s limited print shop, featuring posters and prints from classics like Pierrot le fou, the Tin Drum, and Vivre sa vie.

1xRun has a limited run of John Wentz’s stunning “Spectra” series up for sale. The print edition of “A Form Appears” (pictured below) has a run of 75 and costs $50 ($150 framed). The pieces will be available for sale until July 4th, or until they sell out, whichever comes first. There are also original pieces available for purchase, ranging from $1800 to $3700.

Available from this week’s Tiny Showcase is Tyler Bewley’s “Shipping Lane (Vietnam)”, with an edition of 100. The prin measures 8.75” wide by 6.3” tall, and has been printed on a heavy 290gsm natural white print making paper made from 90% bamboo fibres and 10% cotton. The print costs $20 ($130 framed), and as always, a portion of sales from Tiny Showcase will go straight to charity.
