walking-dead-126Sarah Moran, Comics Editor
Pull List: Tomb Raider #3, Aquaman #30, Batman Eternal #3
This Week’s Must Read: The Walking Dead #126

This is it! This is the conclusion of The Walking Dead’s epic “All Out War” arc. If you’ve bailed on The Walking Dead recently, then you’ve truly been missing out on some of the series’ most exciting developments.
Civilization is within the survivors’ grasp–but only if Rick can convince everyone to cooperate. After the last issue’s’ shocking conclusion, I honestly can’t imagine how Robert Kirkman intends to wrap this arc. And I know I’ve said it before, but for a series well over 100 issues it’s a delight to know the comic is still churning out quality storytelling, full of suspense, when its television counterpart struggles to tell one cohesive, compelling season.

Pull List: Red Lanterns #30, Undertow #3, Uncanny Avengers #19, All-New Invaders #4
This Week’s Must Read: Silver Surfer #2

I have always loved the Silver Surfer and have wished for a decent ongoing title since Greg Pak did his limited series. Initially, I worried that Dan Slott and Mike Allred would do something drastic to one of my favorite characters. While that still may happen, Allred’s cartoonish, surreal artwork fits the character better than I expected, and Slott opened the series with an intriguing mystery. The second issue promises more surreal imagery and far-out intrigue.

Pull List: All-New Invaders #4, Batman Eternal #3, Conan The Avenger #1 [Review]
This Week’s Must Read: Justice League United #0

I dropped all the Justice League books right before “Forever Evil” started because I was sick to death of crossovers and having to buy three titles just to understand what was going on in one. Come to think of it, that’s the reason I’ve dropped most of the DC Comics titles I had been reading. Still, I’m willing to give this one a shot for two reasons. The first is that ever since Jeff Lemire did the impossible and made The New 52 Green Arrow title readable again, I’m willing to give anything the man writes a try. The other reason is that with the exception of Hawkman, every single character in the JLU roster is a character I like and would love to see Jeff Lemire write. I’m especially curious to see how he handles Adam Strange.
