  • Longtime X-Men producer, Lauren Shuler Donner confirms Channing Tatum as Gambit. The Ragin’ Cajun last appeared in Wolverine: Origins and was played by Taylor Kitsch. No word on when Tatum is expected to take on the role or for which film. (via Total Film)
  • Speaking of X-Men, the early reviews for X-Men: Days of Future Past imply this could be one of the best X-Men film, yet! (via Screen Rant)
  • More X-Men news, but this time of the comic variety. Sequart has a new documentary on Chris Claremont‘s influential run on X-Men you need to check out.

  • Feast your eyes on this trailer for Christopher Nolan‘s latest film, Interstellar, starring Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, and Michael Caine.
  • Variety reports Roberto Orci will direct Star Trek 3. Previously, Orci wrote and produced the first two Star Trek films, then directed by J.J. Abrams, with his writing partner Alex Kurtzman.
  • A release date has been set for Warner Bros.’ next film capitalizing on the Harry Potter franchise, the spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find ThemNovember 18, 2016.
  • In sad news, earlier this week we learned legendary artist, H.R. Giger, best known for his iconic xenomorph designs from Alien, has passed away. (via AP News)
