Tyler Stout’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Mondo Poster Revealed!

Holy shit, guys. LOOK AT THIS THING.

Mondo has been churning out beautiful prints for the duration of Comic-Con, but the cult-favorite alternative poster house surprised devoted fans who had been lining up at their booth all weekend long with this practically perfect Guardians of the Galaxy variant print from artist Tyler Stout.

Stout, a longtime fan favorite artist behind some of Mondo’s most coveted posters, has worked with the Marvel license in the past for The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Iron Man 2. Known for combining detailed amalgamations of characters into brilliant compositions, Stout seems like a natural choice for Guardians of the Galaxy, a movie completely stuffed with crazy heroes and villains in true space opera tradition.

The poster went up for sale at Mondo’s booth (#835) earlier this morning at $110 each and sold out in a matter of minutes. The variant was a con exclusive, so good luck getting one on the aftermarket. Fortunately for the rest of us, the regular version of the poster (same art as the variant, different colorway) will be sold online in a limited batch at a random time later this week. Get that F5 finger ready — it seems like everyone and their mother is going to be after this brilliant poster.

EDIT: Word is that only 175 of the total variant run of 350 prints were sold at Comic-Con, leaving 175 more variants for the online drop!
