The Pull List, 11.11.15

Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s Kabooooom’s Pull List!

Sarah Moran

Pull List: Batman #46, DC Comics Bombshells #4, 8house #8 Yorris, The Walking Dead #148, The Wicked + The Divine #16, Chewbacca #3 (of 5), Darth Vader #12, Spider-Gwen #2
This Week’s Must Read: Zodiac Starforce #3

zodiac starforce 3 cvrI’ve got a lot on my pull list this week, making it hard to pick which is the first book I’ll read out of the bag. Batman, Walking Dead, and Wicked + Divine are consistently good, the Star Wars titles are just feeding my excitement for December, but the book I want everyone to be reading is Zodiac Starforce. Unless, weirdly, you’re fundamentally against kick-ass magical girls. In which case, we’ve got problems. But for those of us who appreciate awesome things, Zodiac Starforce is the best. Only three issues in, Panetta and Ganucheau are hitting all the right notes, leaving me craving for each new issue.

Matt Morrison

Pull List: Constantine: The Hellblazer #6, Descender #7, Knights Of The Dinner Table #225, Red Sonja/Conan #4
This Week’s Must Read: All New Wolverine #1

all new wolverine 1 cvrI’ve never been a big Wolverine fan. And I know little about the character of X-23. And I’d generally rather have teeth pulled than read an X-Men comic. And yet, I’m willing to give All New Wolverine a shot for one simple reason – Tom Taylor is writing it. I’ve been a fan of Taylor ever since his run on Injustice: Gods Among Us and I’ve yet to regret picking up any comic he’s written no matter my antipathy for the characters involved.
