This Week’s Must Read: DC Comics Bombshells #6

DC Comics Bombshells 6 cvrDC Comics Bombshells is without a doubt the best team series DC has going for it. And they’re not exactly a fully formed team yet, but they’re getting there. On top of that, Bombshells – contrary to what pinups may bring to mind – treats its heroines as true stars, not window dressing. These ladies are running the show, as are writer Marguerite Bennet and her team of some of the best women artists in the industry – Marguerite Sauvage, Ming Doyle, and currently Laura Braga. For anyone who’s been missing Batwoman, are disappointed with Mera’s recent portrayal in Aquaman, upset with the recent run on Wonder WomanDC Comics Bombshells is where they are given the treatment they deserve.

This Week’s Must Read: Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor #16 [Review]

The answer is that issue #16 is this year’s Holiday Special. And with stories by George Mann and Cavan Scott (writers on the Eighth Doctor and Ninth Doctor comic series respectively) this will be sure to tide you Whovians over until the television show’s Christmas special.
