Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s The Pull List!

Matt Morrison

This Week’s Must Read: Lucifer #13

lucifer 13 cvrI’m a sucker for any holiday special published for a Vertigo book. Between that and this being the last issue for the fantastic Holly Black and first work by new writer Richard Kadrey, there’s a lot to look forward to in this issue. Plus,it’s apparently Krampus approved!

Brandon Griffin

This Week’s Must Read: Avengers #2.1

avengers 2-1 cvrWhether or not you’re onboard with any of the new Avengers squads (you should be!) this is a must read for all fans. Mark Waid writing the “Secret History” of the Avengers? Yes, please! The first issue was about when most of the team quit, leaving Captain America to fill the ranks with a handful of criminals. Those criminals being Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver! It’s an old-school, period piece, comic book. Marvel fans can enjoy this awkward transition period for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as they face public scrutiny over their new members – on top of a villainous stranger!

Buy these comics at your local comic book store (Don’t know where that is? Here you go.), from Things From Another Universe, or digitally via Comixology.com.
