Texas Frightmare Weekend 2018: Preshow Report

Texas Frightmare Weekend is the ultimate convention for horror movie fans from all over America. The convention is a three day opportunity to revel in all things horror-related. You can hobnob with celebrities, mingle with fellow fans, explore amazing artwork and shop for some pretty amazing merchandise.

This year’s show is being sponsored by Arrow Video – a distribution firm who are to classic horror movies what Criterion Collection Inc. is to art-house cinema. 2018 also marks TFW’s 13th year in existence so we know there are big plans in store given the special place the number 13 has in horror fans’ hearts.

For starters, this special “Frightmare The 13th” show has gathered up Kane Hodder, C.J. Graham and Steve Dash – all actors whom played Jason Vorhees in Friday the 13th. There will also be a Child’s Play cast reunion featuring Chucky himself, Oscar-winner Brad Dourif.

The multi-talented Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) will be in attendance along with Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith from the SAW franchise. The show will offer rare appearances by Claudio Fragasso and Rossella Drudi – the infamous screenwriting couple behind Troll 2 – and legendary writer/artist/director Clive Barker.

TFW 2018 will also feature fan favorites Matthew Lillard (star of Scream, Scooby Doo and most recently Twin Peaks), Steven Weber (from the TV version of The Shining, Reefer Madness The Musical and the TV series hit Wings) and Ethan Embry (from The Devil’s Candy, Empire Records and Can’t Hardly Wait).

Texas Frightmare Weekend runs from May 4-6 at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Hyatt Regency. To purchase tickets and get more details, visit https://www.texasfrightmareweekend.com.
