Captain Marvel has been a long time coming, and in some ways, Carol’s introduction to the MCU feels a little shoe-horned in. Now that she’s here, however, Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers is an exciting addition.
Fantastic art and a solid story make this revamp of Carol Danvers’ origins worth reading, though it is unclear when it is taking place in Marvel’s timeline.
As a whole, Jessica Jones has been an enjoyable run. This issue doesn’t particularly hit the ceiling readers were hoping for, but it certainly maintains the floor.
This Civil War II tie-in arc of Captain Marvel isn’t righting all of the event’s wrongs, but it is adding some much needed depth to Carol’s bad decisions.
