Held quarterly in Dallas, The North Texas Comic Book Show is a comic convention of the old-school. The show has gained fame in recent years for its unique costume contests, which emphasize acting over appearances. Since cosplaying is difficult during the Texas summer, this July’s show had several contestants creating summer-vacation themed variants of their favorite characters.
