This weekend sees a beloved annual event return to Houston – Space City Comic Con! The foremost fan-culture convention of the Gulf Coast, Space City boasts an impressive variety of family-friendly entertainment. Whether you enjoy comics, sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, literature or art, there’s something that’s bound to interest you. There’s even a programming track devoted toward the real science of space, with an astronaut and scientists discussing recent developments at NASA.

Naturally, there will be a number of celebrity guests. The legendary William Shatner will be just one of a number of Star Trek actors helping Space City Comic Con live up to its name, along with Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Ethan Phillips, Tim Russ, Robert Picardo, Garrett Wang and Manu Intiraymi. Whovians will have a chance to meet Arthur Darvill and Karen Gillan. Manu Bennett – of Arrow and Spartacus – will be in attendance along with Bridget Regan (Jane The Virgin, Agent Carter) and original Green Power Ranger Jason David Frank. John Constantine himself – Matt Ryan – will also be there.

Space City Comic Con is July 24-26 at the NRG Center. Tickets are available on-line, with one-day adult passes for $30 ($40 for Saturday) and 3-day passes for $60.
