Fan Expo Dallas continues to be the biggest event of its kind in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Beyond boasting an impressive line-up of celebrity guests, including Oscar-winning actors and legendary comic creators, the show also acts as a community showcase. Fan groups like Cause To Play, Mando Mercs, North Texas Ghostbusters, and DFW Cosplay Gallifrey use the event to promote themselves and their charitable interests. There were also all manner of gaming events, such as those organized by DFW Critter Crew, that taught newbie players the joys of role-playing.
