On November 22, 2024, Meta announced a change to their terms of service. Starting on January 1, 2025, it will be impossible to opt out of having anything you share on Facebook or Instagram used to train Meta’s so-called “artificial intelligence” software.

I’ll spare you all a rant about how these programs would more properly be called plagiarism engines. Suffice it to say, we have no desire to have our work be used to make other people money. More importantly, we are not about to have all of the cosplay photos we have taken over the years and the likenesses of countless strangers used in such a fashion.

To that end, Kabooooom.com is getting off of Instagram and Facebook effective immediately.
