The Pull List, 4.22.15

Here at Kaboooooom we live and breathe comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s Kabooooom’s Pull List!

star wars 4 cvr
Sarah Moran, Editor
Pull List: Star Wars #4
This Week’s Must Read: Star Wars #4

Yup. It’s another one of those weeks where there’s little happening on my pull. However, it feels especially appropriate given the trailer that dropped last week that the one book I’m grabbing this week is Star Wars #4. This series is one of the first new Star Wars properties in the post-Disney-acquisition age and it has been fantastic. What Jason Aaron and John Cassaday are producing reads very much as an unseen chapter of the Original Trilogy and definitely feeds that need for MOAR STAR WARS that I’ve been having.

convergence new teen titans 1 cvr
Marcus Hammond, Writer
Pull List: Convergence #3, Convergence: Swamp Thing #1, Velvet #10, Black Widow #17, Black Vortex Omega #1
This Week’s Must Read: Convergence: New Teen Titans #1

Marv Wolfman’s New Teen Titans has always been one of my go-to series when I’m feeling lost on what to read, so I absolutely love that he’s doing the writing for this section of the Convergence tie-ins. Who better to provide a blast from the past then the guy who established most of the Teen Titan characters? As an added plus, Nicola Scott does the art for this issue. Her work is one of the reasons I have continued to follow the Earth 2 series, so I’ll take a chance that her work in this issue will be stellar. Wolfman’s words and Scott’s art—to me it doesn’t get any better than that!

unbeatable squirrel girl 4 cvr
Matt Morrison, Writer
Pull List: Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #4
This Week’s Must Read: Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #4

This week’s pick was a really easy choice as I was only getting one comic – Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #4. And you don’t need me to tell you how awesome Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is because you’re already reading it. Naturally you’re a talented, smart and attractive person like all those other people who read Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. Aren’t you? Or are you one of those godless people who hate squirrels and girls and any combination thereof? If so, I weep for you. For you shall never know the glory of Unbeatable Squirrel Girl!

Buy these comics at your local comic book store (Don’t know where that is? Here you go.) or digitally via Comixology.com.
