The Pull List, 2.3.16

Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s Kabooooom’s Pull List!

Sarah Moran

Pull List: Pretty Deadly #8, The Walking Dead #151, A-Force #2, Captain Marvel #2
This Week’s Must Read: Mirror #1

mirror 1 cvrThis is a weird pick, I’ll admit. All I know about is Mirror comes from its solicit, which reads: “Emma Ríos (Pretty Deadly, Island) and Hwei Lim (Lalage, Hero) team up for a new ongoing series, following a terrorist talking dog, an idealist mage, and a heroic lab rat on their quest for acceptance.” I read that, and I still don’t have any idea what it’s about. Not really. But the look of the cover is sure intriguing, so I’m giving this book a shot tomorrow.

Matt Morrison

Pull List: Batgirl #48, Captain America: Sam Wilson #6, Howard The Duck #4, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Five #7 (Digital Edition), Knights of the Dinner Table #228
This Week’s Must Read: Dejah Thoris #1

dejah thoris 1 cvrDynamite Comics’ first attempt to revamp one of their classic pulp heroines in the wake of Swords of Sorrow was a smashing success. If this new series devoted to the solo exploits of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Princess of Mars is only half as good as the new Red Sonja series, it will be a great read.

Buy these comics at your local comic book store (Don’t know where that is? Here you go.), from Things From Another Universe, or digitally via Comixology.com.
