Pull List: Future Quest #4, Rick and Morty #17
This Week’s Must Read: Insexts Vol. 1
Considering how sparse my pull is this week, I’m choosing something a little different for my must read – a trade paperback, which is the lingo for a collected edition of single issues. In this case, it’s the first seven issues of writer Marguerite Bennett and artist Ariela Kristantina’s Insexts – an erotic gothic horror about a pair of “vengeful Victorian vixens” who “discover a horrifying power that transforms them into rich and strange new creatures.” I think that means they can turn into bug people, but I’m not entirely sure. Either way, I’ve been interested in this series for some time having loved Bennet’s work on DC Comics’ Bombshells and the artwork looks absolutely gorgeous. Besides, how can a tale of Victorian lesbians with insect powers not pique your interest?
