Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s The Pull List!

“IMPERIAL PHASE (II),” Part Three A nice lie-in. An awesome gig three friends have worked really hard on. A day trip to a museum enlivened when some old chums turn up. Everything continues to be lovely for the gods in “IMPERIAL PHASE.”

As “Imperial Phase” begins drawing to a close, the stakes are beginning to rise. Very soon, some of these gods might be dead as the end of their two-year, divine lifespans inches closer and closer. But before then, they need to come together if they hope to defeat the Great Darkness (whatever that is). Cass, Dio, and Woden plan the gig to end all gigs, while Persephone must decide just who’s side she’s on — her own or everyone else’s? Plus, someone needs to get Sakhmet under control. The whole murdering and eating people thing is really getting out of hand.

This Week’s Must Read: Green Arrow #30

“HARD TRAVELING HERO” part five! The day Oliver Queen has dreaded for years has finally arrived: Green Arrow, DC’s most stubborn, most hotheaded hero, needs help from the last person he ever wanted to ask: Hal Jordan, who’ll give the Emerald Archer a lift to the stars in this stunning reunion that readers have demanded since REBIRTH began!

Here it is! The moment that fans of the classic O’Neil/Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow have been waiting for/demanding for years — a team-up between Oliver Queen and Hal Jordan. Okay, technically the two did team-up briefly during the Green Arrow: Kingdom arc, but it was hardly the Hard-Traveling Heroes tribute we were expecting. Given that Benjamin Percy and Otto Schmidtt are well on their way to becoming the new Dennis O’Neil and Neal Adams, hopes are high for this issue and it seems unlikely that GL/GA fans of any age will be disappointed.
