Fans of The Witcher books, games and television series will find Witch’s Lament to be an excellent contribution to the continuing saga of Geralt. The story by Bartosz Sztybor establishes an intriguing mystery and draws upon the mythology of the setting while still being accessible to newcomers who might come into this comic knowing nothing of The Witcher. The artwork by Vanesa Del Ray is suitably visceral and spooky, with the intricate linework being richly enhanced by Jordie Bellaire’s colors. Aditya Bidikar also contributes some interesting lettering effects. If you haven’t experienced the world of The Witcher before now, this is a fine place to start!
