DARK KNIGHTS OF STEEL #2/ Story by TOM TAYLOR/ Art by YASMINE PUTRI/ Colors by ARIF PRIANTO/ Letters by WES ABBOTT/ Published by DC COMICS
King Jor-El lies dead of an assassin’s arrow, but the true power behind the deed lies with the mysterious Green Man and Jor-El’s rival, King Jefferson. War seems all but certain between the House of El and of the Kingdom of Storms. The only question now is with whom the other great powers, such as the Island of Amazons, will ally themselves in the coming conflict.
Like a rolling storm, Dark Knights of Steel continues to grow in power with every chapter. Tom Taylor’s script finds new ways to surprise the reader, putting new spins on classic characters in this fantasy setting and even introducing some new characters into the mix. The artwork by Yasmine Putri, backed by Arif Prianto’s colors and Wes Abbott’s lettering is simply splendid. This series is far more than Game of Thrones mixed with DC Comics and I highly recommend picking it up now if you aren’t already reading it.
