Solomon Hitch has faced many strange threats since being brought back from the dead. As Halloween Man, he is Solar City’s foremost guardian against supernatural terrors. Which makes it all the more surprising when a strange spaceship flies over the city, and a headless horseman rides out asking for him, with the message that “Entropy awaits him.”

Who is the cosmic being known as Entropy? What do they want with Halloween Man? Can his fiancee, the Science Starlet Lucy Chaplin, help him? What of Elvis, Solomon’s T-Rex familiar? All will be unveiled in the first chapter of Halloween Man: Entropy!

If you’ve yet to enjoy the weird world of Drew Edwards’ Halloween Man, it can only be because you have yet to encounter it. Edwards’ writing remains an eclectic fusion of classic comic styles, with Silver Age idealism teaming with classic horror tropes to create something oddly original. The artwork by Jason Wilson and John Gholson perfectly encapsulates that unique aesthetic. And how can one not enjoy the image of a man and his dinosaur at play that Matt Frank and Goncalo Lopes crafted for the cover?

This issue is a perfect introduction to Halloween Man. Despite continuing the long-running saga perfectly, this issue is easily accessible to new readers, with all the continuity you need to know explained in one simple title page.
