THE WRONG EARTH: DEAD RINGERS #1 [Review/Preview]

THE WRONG EARTH: DEAD RINGERS #1 / Script by TOM PEYER / Pencils by JAMAL IGLE / Inks by JUAN CASTRO / Colors by LEE LOUGHRIDGE / Letters by ROB STEEN / Published by AHOY COMICS

THE WRONG EARTH has been a favorite series of mine for some time. Thanks to life being life, the latest chapter nearly snuck by me. It had been far too long since I’d read this series. Thankfully, the latest chapter, DEAD RINGERS, opens with a hyperbolic narrator, who explains the story so far, so I don’t have to do it.

Impressed? Amused? Confused? That’s typical, for The Wrong Earth is a satiric triumph that has only become stranger and more amusing with every chapter, under Tom Peyer’s design. The artwork has been equally amazing, with Jamal Igle turning in the best work of his career. If you love superheroes, you can’t go wrong with The Wrong Earth.
