Here at Kaboooooom we live and breathe comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s Kabooooom’s Pull List!
Sarah Moran, Comics Editor
Pull List: Batman Eternal #5
This Week’s Must Read: Rat Queens #6
The Rat Queens return! Their adventures are bloody, their language bawdy, but never has there been a cooler group of lady friends. Kurtis J. Wiebe’s and Roc Upchurch’s Rat Queens is instantly charming and unabashedly ruthless. Seriously, this book is not for the feint of heart. But if bloody dismemberment, heavy drinking, and wild night out with your best pals is how you spend a Wednesday evening, then why the f*ck aren’t you reading Rat Queens? Their rockin’ first arc is now available in trade, but this issue is a perfect jumping on point for new readers.

Pull List: Green Lantern #31, Black Widow #6, Magneto #3, Wake #8
This Week’s Must Read: New 52 Futures End #1
In all honesty I wasn’t going to pick this comic up, but I picked up the FCBD #0 and found it to be intriguing. It seems like it’s taking a very mature perspective. While some may be dissuaded by the superheroes fighting superheroes, the overall story seems entertaining from the preview and I look forward to how it will develop.
Matt Morrison, Writer
Pull List: Batman Eternal #5, Earth 2 #23, Red Sonja #9
This Week’s Must Read: Green Arrow #31
Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino turned the tide on this title, turning one of the New 52’s most disastrous launches into one of DC Comics’ best titles. This final chapter of “The Outsiders War” should be a satisfying conclusion to what has proven to be an exciting epic.
