This Week’s Must Read: 8house Arclight #2

This week it was a toss up between 8house Arclight #2 and WicDiv #13, but in the end I’m giving my must read recommendation to 8house. The first issue had me utterly intrigued with its weird world and strange customs, plus the artwork from Marion Churchland is simply gorgeous. There are cool lady knights and a mysterious tree person and magic. I don’t really know where writer Brandon Graham is taking this tale, but the world building alone is worth the read.

This Week’s Must Read: This Damned Band #1

I was fortunate enough to preview this book several weeks ago and I can’t recommend it enough. With a witty script by Doctor Who writer Paul Cornell and psychedelic artwork by Tony Parker, this is one to watch if you’re a fan of rock-n-roll satire à la This Is Spinal Tap or supernatural stories in the same vein as Constantine the Hellblazer.
