The Pull List, 12.2.15

Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s Kabooooom’s Pull List!

Pull List: Star Wars #13
This Week’s Must Read: Harley’s Little Black Book #1

harley's little black book 1 cvrMy pull is pretty pitiful this week, but I’m totally pumped for Harley’s Little Black Book #1! Sure, sure, it’s mostly a cash grab ($4.99!) capitalizing on Harley’s insane popularity, but Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner’s take on Harls is so popular for a reason – it’s so damn good! Pairing her with an assortment of DC heroes and villains is pretty genius, too, and sure to make for some great laughs. A bi-monthly title, Harley’s Little Black Book first sees Quinn trying to save Wonder Woman, while the next issue has her harassing Green Lantern. There really aren’t too many team-up books on the stands these days, and there’s definitely none teaming a nutcase like Harley Quinn with poor, unsuspecting heroes. This should be a hoot!

Pull List: Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor – Year Two #3, Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor #14, Howard The Duck #2, This Damned Band #5
This Week’s Must Read: Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor #5

doctor who the ninth doctor 5 cvrTitan Comics has done… wonderful things with their line of Doctor Who comics since taking-over the license from IDW Publishing. Yet, of all their books coming out this week, it’s the stirring conclusion to this Ninth Doctor mini-series I’m looking forward to the most. Maybe it’s because Rose and Jack are among my favorite companions or maybe it’s because Nine hasn’t gotten nearly enough credit in recent years compared to other Doctors. In any case, I’m sure this issue will be… amazing. And if we could get more of Rose and Nine in the future, that would be… oh, I’ll go ahead and say it… FANTASTIC!

Buy these comics at your local comic book store (Don’t know where that is? Here you go.), from Things From Another Universe, or digitally via Comixology.com.
