Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s Kabooooom’s Pull List!

Pull List: Aquaman #1, Detective Comics #935, Harley Quinn #29, Bitch Planet #8, Pretty Deadly #10, Gwenpool #3, The Mighty Thor #8, Archie #9
This Week’s Must Read: Wonder Woman #1
My pull is larger than usual this week, and honestly, I’m not even positive I’ll be able to lay hands on all these books. Aquaman #1 and Detective Comics #935, definitely, because the DC Rebirth is strong this week, but also Wonder Woman #1. Admittedly, Wonder Woman: Rebirth #1 wasn’t as welcoming for new readers as I’d have liked. In fact, very little really happened (as Matt correctly noted in his review), but I’m still looking forward to seeing where Greg Rucka is taking this idea that the reason Diana’s origin is such an incomprehensible mess is because she’s been lied to all her life. Plus, I still can’t get over Liam Sharp and Laura Martin’s gorgeous artwork.

Pull List: Descender #12, Detective Comics #935, Flash #1, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Five #26 & #27 (Digital Edition), Red Sonja #6
This Week’s Must Read: Aquaman #1 [Review]
I’ve always been a fan of Dan Abnett’s work but he seems to have been hitting every pitch out of the ballpark this year. Between his underrated Hercules series at Marvel and his most recent work on DC Rebirth, I’ve been enjoying everything he’s written that I’ve read recently. As such, I’m looking forward to seeing how he continues the set-up he presented in Aquaman: Rebirth #1.
