Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s The Pull List!

Pull List: Batgirl and The Birds of Prey #2, Wonder Woman #6, A-Force #9
This Week’s Must Read: Detective Comics #940 [Review]
Very quickly, Detective Comics has become the Bat-Family title fans (like myself) have been craving for years. Featuring a team assembled by Batman, led and trained by Batwoman, and with fan-favorite characters Red Robin, Spoiler, Orphan, and Clayface, Detective Comics is definitely a series for those who enjoy a wide swath of Gotham vigilantes. As of last issue, Red Robin – AKA Tim Drake – put himself in a very precarious predicament, one he may not survive, and if this cover is anything to go by, he might not. Only on way to find out – read Detective Comics #940!

This Week’s Must Read: Doctor Who: The Third Doctor #1 [Review]
Paul Cornell is one of my favorite writers. His work on various comics and Doctor Who – the comics, novels and television series – have never failed to entertain me. And while my first exposure to Doctor Who involved Tom Baker, it was Jon Pertwee’s Third Doctor that grew to be my favorite when I began seeking to watch the whole series. Throw in some excellent preview art by Christopher Jones and you have one amazing looking title I can’t wait to read.
