Despite this impressive collection of guests, Fan Expo Dallas isn’t just about celebrities. It’s about a community built around a shared love of common interests and sharing that love with others. To that end, local charity Heroic Inner Kids is organizing Fan Expo’s first-ever Kid Zone!
Set up in Room C2, the Kid Zone will feature special activities for children 12 and under, including craft projects, professional-level photos, a dress up area, gaming stations, kids movies, free comics from Collected Comics, one-on-one Q&A sessions with cosplayers and other professionals and a quiet zone with tents and coloring pages. Please note that this is not a day-care facility and all children must be accompanied by an adult guardian all times.
North Texas Cosplay will once again be organizing a Cosplay Hideaway lounge for costumed folk to get off the floor and off their feet for a little while. The Hideaway – located in room A114 – will also be the site for cosplay contest sign-ups.
“We have planned an incredible lineup of family-friendly pop culture attractions to Dallas,” said Andrew Moyes, show director for Fan Expo Dallas. “As in years past, we will continue our tradition of praising and celebrating the enthusiasm of superhero, sci-fi and fantasy content seen on TV, in film, comic books and graphic novels with the fans.”
Kabooooom.com will be in attendance covering the convention. We will have our photographer at the Cosplay Red Carpet area at the following times for one hour each day, for anyone interested in posing for our annual cosplay gallery.
