Here at Kaboooooom we love our comic books, but if you’re new to the game or just don’t frequent the local comic shop, it can be hard to know where to start. For that, we’re here to help. Every week we’ll share with you our recommendations for what you should be checking out and what you need to know before you crack that cover – it’s The Pull List!

Pull List: The Once and Future Queen #2, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #9, Detective Comics #954, Wonder Woman #20, Spencer and Locke #1
This Week’s Must Read: The Wicked + The Divine #28
Another sensational arc of The Wicked + The Divine comes to a close with this issue. What is the Great Darkness? What does Ananke’s machine do? And just who or what is Persephone, really? I don’t expect any of these questions to actually get answered in WicDiv #28, that’d be ridiculous, but I do expect another whopper of a finale to what has been an arc fraught with tension. As the Pantheon enters their second year, the gods are uneasy and restless, making things more unpredictable. And for a series as shocking as The Wicked + The Divine, that’s saying something.

Pull List: American Gods: Shadows #2, Batgirl and The Birds of Prey #9, Detective Comics #954, The Flash #20, Injustice 2 #1 (Digital Edition) [Review], Titans #10
This Week’s Must Read: Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor: Year Three #1 [Review]
With the 10th series of Doctor Who premiering this weekend, it’s a good bit of timing for Titan Comics to release the first issue of the newest series of the current Doctor’s adventures this Wednesday. There’s no word yet on if this new comic will eventually feature The Doctor’s new companion, Bill, but we do know that last year’s excellent creative team of writer George Mann and artists Rachael Stott and Mariano Laclustra are returning — so this book will be one to watch regardless.
Buy these comics at your local comic book store (Don’t know where that is? Here you go.), from Things From Another Universe, or digitally via Comixology.com.
