SALTY SEDUTIONS OF THE SALACIOUS SEA – A MISS TILNEY ADVENTURE [Advance Review]

SALTY SEDUTIONS OF THE SALACIOUS SEA – A MISS TILNEY ADVENTURE / Script by DAVID DOUB/ Art by PAT BINDER/ Published by SOURCE POINT PRESS

The indominable lady reporter Henrietta Tilney and the adventurous Lord Harwood, whose exploits readers will recall from The Trials and Tribulations of Miss Tilney, are back in a new adventure which promises chills, thrills and hot romance on the high seas. Given that these promises come from notorious braggart Lord Harwood, however, they are to be taken with more than a grain of salt.

Regardless, the twosome travel to dangerous foreign parts (i.e. Cornwall) and the seaport of Polperro, chasing rumors of a dark and briny beast. Something is killing the sailors of the town, but none dare brave the night to discover their fate. It will fall to our heroes to discover the truth of the matter and hopefully emerge to tell the tale in a somewhat truthful but non-incriminating fashion.

Fans of penny dreadfuls and pulp fiction will find much to admire in Salty Seductions of the Salacious Sea. The script by David Doub perfectly captures the flavor of a Victorian thriller. The artwork by Pat Binder is crisp and clear, reminding me of Aaron Williams’ work on Nodwick. I highly recommend it and the first Miss Tilney series.

Salty Seductions of the Salacious Sea – A Miss Tilney Adventure is now available for order wherever comics can be purchased. It will be released on February 16, 2022.
